Our traditional Chinese water wheels are authentic restorations based on the TianGong KaiWu (天工开物, 1637 AD) by Song Yingxing. We offer multiple configurations: water-powered, electric motor, solar-powered, and manual crank. Each wheel uses traditional mortise-and-tenon joinery with no nails. All wood is ACQ or CCA pressure-treated for 50+ year outdoor lifespan.
传统水车参照宋应星《天工开物》(1637年)复原，提供水流驱动、电机驱动、太阳能驱动、手摇驱动四种配置。榫卯结构无铁钉，ACQ/CCA防腐处理，50年户外寿命。

We can make water wheels as small as 0.5m diameter for indoor displays and teaching models. The most popular sizes for outdoor scenic use are 3m-8m.
Water flows into the scoops at the top of the wheel, and the weight creates rotational torque. No external power needed. Wheel speed depends on water flow rate and scoop configuration.
We provide detailed foundation drawings with engineering calculations. Typically a reinforced concrete pad with anchor bolts.
Small wheels (under 3m): 2-3 days with 4 workers. Medium wheels (3-8m): 5-7 days. Large wheels (10m+): 10-20 days with crane equipment.
